Book Study Group Everyone is welcome
We will be starting our new book on September 17.
We meet each Sunday after worship from 11:45 – 1:30 at the Legal Grounds Cafe, a block from the church. Over good coffee and lunch we have stimulating conversations that deepen our faith journey. Books are chosen by the group and ordered through the church office.
The Inconvenient Indian -By Thomas King A Curious Account of Native People in North America
This is a book both timeless and timely, burnished with anger but tempered by wit, and ultimately a hard-won offering of hope--a sometimes inconvenient but nonetheless indispensable account for all of us, Indian and non-Indian alike, seeking to understand how we might tell a new story for the future. Books are available at the office if you would like a copy early. Cost of the book is $16.00. Office hours Tues – Fri. 9 am – 2 pm.
